OK. Let me get this straight. Green Pastures was AH-MAZ-ING!!! I loved it! Everyone achieved something. Some people learned new skills, some people found things they were awesome at and some people helped others.
These are some of the activities we accomplished: Raft building, Kayaking, Team Building, Shooting, Archery, Cooking, Poetry, Photography, Water Sliding and of course, THE MUD RUN! Here’s a piece of descriptive writing I did about it:
I slid my hands along the rope as I moved forward. I could hear screams from the people in front. It was gonna be bad. Right, my turn! I lowered my foot in…… SQUELCH! AHHHHHHHHHH! I instantly hated it. It was like stepping in a puddle! I *ran out of that deep patch as quickly as I could.
I ducked the tree branch and; Oh god, there was another patch of mud, this one even BIGGER than the last!
*Considering you couldn’t actually run, it was an impressive feat.
Once you’re muddy you’re muddy, right! I jumped as far away from the parent at the side as I could because I seen him chuck mud on the people before me! 👹👹Pure EVIL👹👹. “Hey! Come back here!” He’d yelled at me, throwing mud in my direction as I laughed and tried as hard as I could to get to the next station. This one was not as hard, so I got past it easily. The next was unbelievably deep! Maybe the deepest I’d been across so far. We had to wait in line for ages, until finally they made a side route. Miss Gordon was there to help people across it. I eased myself into the mud while Miss Gordon supported me across the deep part. Then, all of a sudden, she grabbed a huge dollop of mud and dumped it on my head!!! 👹👹Pure EVIL👹👹. I screamed and squirmed as she put another handful of mud on my head and shrieked: “That’s for all the selfies you take on my phone!📲” Sorry!😏 I screamed as loud as I could because I could feel the mud tickling into my ear. “AAAAAAAA GGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!”
She finally let me go as I got to the bank and wriggled out. I then went along the mud flats without a problem! 👌 I figured I wouldn’t come here again so I might as well do another round.
I went around again and went through all the patches again until I got to the pool. Here was the problem. Miss Gordon was looking at me, a smile curling on her lips. I did not trust her one bit. Duncan was beckoning me to come forward. Nuh-uh. No way. I turned around to go to the main route but Mr Robertson pushed me back and said: It's too deep! Go with these guys.” No” I whined. I was going to have to go with these guys. I jumped in and try to wriggled away but Miss Gordon was too fast and she grabbed me! Her and Duncan put so much mud on my head that it could have filled up the Hoover Dam! I screamed as loud as I could about 500 times over. They finally let me go after about what seemed ages. I got out of that as fast as I could! Then, just for good measure, I grabbed a pile of mud and threw it in their face. MUD FIGHT!!!!!! They threw some at me, I threw some of them, but at least I got the last throw. 👹👹Pure EVIL👹👹. I escaped and went over to the mud flats. The moment I put my foot in, I realised it was really deep! I made it about about 7 steps and then I was stuck! I literally couldn’t move my legs. Madeleine and Kate tried to help but they couldn't help for long because they had to move on. Finally Rochelle pulled me out or I would’ve been stuck for a century. She told me and everyone else to walk along the side because too many people were getting stuck in the mud. I got to the end and thought: Ah, well might as well do a third. So I did. I got past everything and then kind of dodged Miss Gordon and Duncan in the deep bit! I got past the mud flats about to get onto my 4th, but then a parent said we had to stop.
But at least it was an experience I won’t forget.
